Rumeli Feneri is a small fishing village on the European side, where the Bosporus meets the Black Sea. Rumeli Feneri is easily reached by bus.

There is however no beach for bathing.

Rumeli Feneri has a big fishing port. It is still quite original and unspoiled and it is hard to believe that a modern megacity is just around the corner.

You can enjoy delicious, inexpensive meals with a spectacular view of tankers, container ships and other boats sailing in and out, and sometimes you can even spot dolphins.

A walk to the nearby fortress ruins is also well worthwhile.
